Harrington String Quartet
The Harrington String Quartet, founded in 1981 through a gift from Sybil B. Harrington, is one of West Texas’s premier cultural treasures. Based at West Texas A&M University, the ensemble has earned national and international recognition for its artistic excellence, performing throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. Career highlights include appearances at Carnegie’s Weill Hall, international music festivals, and collaborations with renowned musicians. The quartet’s recording Northern Lights was named iTunes’ Best Classical Vocal Album of 2012. Committed to education and community engagement, the quartet presents concerts, master classes, and collaborative projects for audiences of all ages.
